Karachi – the city that does it all – has a lot going on for itself. After all, it is the largest and highest revenue-generating city of Pakistan.
However, the one thing that the city lacks is unique leisure spots. Even with a sea at its disposal, Karachi city hasn’t taken advantage of all its ‘fun’ potential.
Now, before you think there’s nothing to do here, let us redirect you to some of the fun activities that do take place in the city.

1) Shopping

With a vast number of stores, malls, and marketplaces, shopping is one of the top things to do in Karachi.
From shopping sasta at the Lighthouse area in Saddar to literally throwing money away at Dolmen City Mall in Clifton, there are many options for shopping in the city.
Some popular shopping places include the Dolmen Mall, Zainab Market, Bolton Market, Lucky One Mall, Empress Market, and Ocean Mall – just to name a few (lol).
2) Eating Out

Sometimes, you just need a break from your ghar ka khaana.
Thankfully, Karachi has an abundance of restaurants, cafes, and dhaabas that offer almost every cuisine on planet earth (of course not, but it feels as such).
Now, there are just too many good eateries in the city to mention here. Hence, we are going to mention some famous food streets that are just unmissable.
So, if you haven’t already, then do visit the food streets at Burns Road, Do Darya, Boat Basin, and Hussainabad.
3) Hitting the Cinemas

If you’re an avid movie fan or are simply bored of your usual routine, Karachi’s cinemas can help satisfy your leisure needs.
Again, there are both cheap and costly options for cinemas in Karachi.
So, if you like to enjoy movies on clear screens with comfortable seating, then that’d cost you a pretty penny. Famous names include Atrium Cinemas, Nueplex Cinemas, and Cinepax Cinema.
However, if you don’t mind a few screening and seating issues, then you can go to the famous Capri Cinema or Prince Cinema.
4) Going to Amusement Parks/Entertainment Centers

Amusement parks have been around for a long time. Similarly, entertainment centers have gained popularity as well, offering something unique to Karachiites.
To be honest, these parks/centers offer some of the best excitement in Karachi city.
Amusement parks such as Nisar Shaheed and Chunky Monkey have all the crazy rides that make your head spin. But, aren’t these the best kind of rides?
Now, the entertainment centers offer a similar level of fun but using different means.
Places like Super Space and Sindbad Xtreme are well-known entertainment centers with arcade games, bowling arenas, and other special activities to keep you entertained for a long time.

5) Beach-ing

Did you really think we’d miss mentioning the infamous Seaview of Karachi?
(We can already hear the rest of the country going: Aah… not this again)
We karachiites love our sea, with all its dark, polluted sand and water.
The camel and horse rides, beach buggy rides, and the traditional dipping of the feet in the water are all the things you can do at the Seaview.
Apart from the old Seaview, many beaches in Karachi offer more transparent water and cleaner sand, but they come at a considerable price.
So, if you can afford some luxury, do visit the Hawksbay, Sandspit, and Turtle beaches.

Karachi is a tough city to work and live in.
