Here’s Why the Public Holidays Schedule for 2021 is a Sad Sight

Us Pakistanis really do love holidays, don’t we? Well, the new year might not have many “holidays” to enjoy. Let’s see what public holidays in Pakistan for 2021 have been announced.

Whether it’s the extended Eid holidays, or the various one-day offs that we get throughout the year, we enjoy any chutti that is bestowed upon us.

And why not? After all, we have earned it (have we really tho?).

Kids and adults alike get super excited whenever a holiday is announced. Apart from the unannounced breaks we get, some scheduled holidays are reported every year.

Per tradition, the government of Pakistan has just announced the schedule for holidays for the new year 2021.

As you can see, all the major yearly holidays are covered in this notice. But the most shocking thing for all of us is that majority of the public holidays 2021, five to be precise, are falling on a Saturday or Sunday. Yes, we are also going: yeh kya baat hui yaar boss?

Whatever the case, we are getting holidays, so there’s nothing to worry about. And by the way, I think we can all agree that the recent lockdowns have already given us a lot of time to relax and its time to work and rebuild.

What Can You Do During the Public Holidays in Pakistan 2021?

There are many things to do during the holidays if you know where to go.

In Karachi, you can hit the beach for some much-needed sunshine or visit entertainment centres such as Chunky Monkey and Arena.

If you are in Lahore, you can take the rides at Joyland, or take a trip to Old Lahore and visit the Badshahi.
