With COVID-19 restrictions in full effect and the winter temperatures dropping like never before, Cocochan and Bella Vita have opened their new outdoor dining branches that are both chic and cozy at the same time.
When the pandemic hit back in March, many businesses took a hit and closed down due to restrictions. Similarly, the restaurant business too couldn’t cope with the increasing pressure of the lockdown, which forced many eateries to shut their operations.
However, things seemed to ease up as the lockdown ended. But, as soon as restaurants were making a comeback, fresh restrictions were introduced which banned indoor dining. This time, restaurants owners were prepared and countered this new SOP by placing tables and chairs outside their restaurant. Props to our creativity!
While most restaurants took similar steps to cope with the situation, two of them thought out-of-the-box and took some bold decisions. These eateries are Cocochan and Bella Vita, who have opened outdoor dining branches in Boat Basin to cater to the increasing demand for the open-air dining experience. Let’s see what they are all about.

Both Cocochan and Bella Vita are owned by the same group, so they have opened these branches side-by-side on the same plot.
Also, expect to find the same menus as their other branches, albeit with an ambiance you may not have experienced in Karachi, yet.
The New Way of Dining Out
Cocochan and Bella Vita have really outdone themselves with these new outdoor dining branches. The outdoor area looks elegant and is spacious enough to keep the virus at bay.

Bella Vita’s décor offers a comfortable, café-like vibe with casual seats and some unique grey sofas. They also have big shades covering some of the tables individually. The one thing that stands out, though, is the reddish fairy lights that greet you at the entrance.

On the other hand, Cocochan has a more trendy, fine-dining vibe with comfortable, cushioned seats and plush, dark green sofas. There are no fairy lights here, but you do get big plants and beautiful streetlamps to look at.
If you didn’t know already, Cocochan is a Pan-Asian restaurant, while Bella Vita is a café with some tasty gelato as well. So, now you can enjoy these contrasting cuisines in one place.
We think this is perfect for your weekend plans, or for a quick weekday lunch. For more information about Cocochan and Bella Vita, visit Peekaboo Guru.
