Pakistan Super League (PSL) is back in Karachi!
PSL’s fifth iteration started in February 2020 with a bang. However, the pandemic put a halt to the series with just 4 matches left to be played. Eight months on, now that things are starting to go back to normal, PSL is back to play the remaining games and crown a champion.
PSL started in 2016 with much fanfare as Pakistan’s first international cricket league. However, due to security concerns, all matches were played in the UAE. At the time, UAE was in essence Pakistan’s home ground.

Six teams make up the Pakistan Super League which represent six different cities across Pakistan. Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandars, Islamabad United, Multan Sultans, Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators. For the first two seasons from 2016 to 2017 there were five teams, with Multan Sultans joining the PSL in 2018.
For the fifth iteration, all matches were to be played in Pakistan. This was a momentous achievement as international cricket returned to Pakistan after a long hiatus.
Following the completion of group rounds in early March 2020, this is where the teams stood.

- National Stadium Bridge
- Dalmia Road
- Stadium Road
- Sir Shah Suleman Road (Hassan Square to National Stadium)
